The End To Global Poverty Foundation has a target goal of raising over $20,000 in this years campaign for the World Partnership Walk - the largest event in Canada dedicated to creating awareness and raising funds for the alleviation of global poverty, for over 25 years.

All funds raised by the World Partnership Walk (100%) go directly to international development initiatives - not one cent is spent on administration. The Walk focuses on sustainable development towards education, health care and rural development.

World Partnership Walk 2009

The World Partnership Walk is Canada's largest annual event dedicated to increasing awareness and raising funds to fight global poverty.

Since the Walk's inception, its corporate, individual and team supporters and volunteers have together raised more than $45 million in support of Aga Khan Foundation Canada, making it the largest and most successful event of its kind in Canada. Now in its 25th year, the Walk is organized by volunteers in nine cities across the country and attracts tens of thousands of Canadians united in a common effort to bring hope and renewal to some of the poorest communities in the world.

All funds raised by the World Partnership Walk (100%) go directly to international development initiatives - not one cent is spent on administration.  Funds raised by the Walk also help AKFC to leverage additional support from major donors like the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).

Aga Khan Foundation Canada

Aga Khan Foundation Canada is a non-profit international agency that supports social development programs in Asia and Africa . As a member of the world-wide Aga Khan Development Network, the Foundation works to address the root causes of poverty: finding and sharing “Smart Solutions” that help improve the quality of life for poor communities.

Our programs focus on four core areas: health, education, rural development and building the capacity of non-governmental organizations. Gender equity and protecting the environment are integrated into every program.

AKFC currently supports more than 25 initiatives, including several school improvement projects carried out with Aga Khan Education Services and primary health care projects implemented with Aga Khan Health Services. Sectors receiving support include microfinance, the improvement of livelihoods and micro-enterprise development as well as rural development, health and education.
